About the Artist
John has his studio in London and teaches at The University of Leeds in the School of Fine Art, History of Art and Cultural Studies.
He has exhibited work in a number of cities including Leeds, London, Dublin, Brno and Paris.
Whilst still an undergraduate at The University of Leeds John was a member of The Leeds 13 group of artists who first achieved notoriety when the media widely reported their 'Going Places' project of 1998 involving a simulated holiday to Malaga.The group followed this project with 'The Degree Show' the following year and then a two month artist's residency in Paris.
John showed the Artifactuality paintings at Leeds City Art Gallery from 11th March - 28th May 2006.
